Atlanta Surgeons Foad and Farzad Nahai Named to Newsweek’s Best Plastic Surgeons
Father-son team at MetroDerm’s Center for Plastic Surgery in Atlanta, Georgia, earn national recognition for excellence in multiple procedures
ATLANTA (Sept. 10, 2025) – Dr. Foad Nahai and Dr. Farzad R. Nahai of MetroDerm’s Center for Plastic Surgery in Atlanta have been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Plastic Surgeons 2025. The annual ranking, developed by Newsweek and Statista Inc., highlights leading U.S. plastic surgeons across six categories.
National Recognition
The national peer ranking system recognizes the best plastic surgeons in the U.S. in six major categories: breast augmentation, eyelid surgery, facelift, liposuction, rhinoplasty and tummy tuck. Newsweek’s peer-reviewed survey collected more than 10,000 recommendations from medical experts.
- Foad Nahai was the only surgeon in Georgia recognized in all six categories: breast augmentation, eyelid surgery, facelift, liposuction, rhinoplasty and tummy tuck. In the U.S., he ranked in the top 10 for facelifts and top three for eyelid surgery, and was the top-ranking surgeon for both categories in Georgia.
- Farzad Nahai was recognized in four categories: facelift, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery and tummy tuck.

About Foad Nahai
Foad Nahai is internationally recognized as a pioneer in plastic surgery, renowned for developing and enhancing many aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. He is frequently featured in national publications such as National Geographic, where he shares insights on the latest trends in plastic surgery.
He previously served as the Maurice J. Jurkiewicz Chair in Plastic Surgery and Professor of Surgery at Emory University, mentoring future generations of surgeons. He also held leadership roles as president of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
In addition to this recognition, Foad Nahai has been named to Newsweek’s Best Plastic Surgeons list in 2023 and 2024, and to W Magazine’s list of top plastic surgeons worldwide.
About Farzad R. Nahai
Farzad R. Nahai has practiced in Atlanta since 2004 and is board-certified in plastic surgery. He specializes in procedures for the face, breast and body, and also offers non-surgical treatments such as cosmetic and dermal injections.
He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Emory University. Following general surgery training, he served the Navajo Nation in New Mexico before completing plastic surgery training at the University of California, San Francisco. He also completed fellowships in Aesthetic and Oculoplastic Surgery at Paces and in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery at Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.
