Seattle, WA, December 6, 2016 – Frazier Healthcare Partners (“Frazier”) is pleased to announce the formation of United Derm Partners (“UDP” or “the Company”), a Nashville-based dermatology practice management company, which acquired a majority interest in Skin Cancer and Dermatology Institute (“SCDI”) based in Reno, Nevada on December 1, 2016.
SCDI is the leading player in the Northern Nevada dermatology market providing general dermatology, Mohs surgery, dermatopathology and aesthetic services through more than 80,000 patient visits annually. The practice currently has 9 physicians and 9 mid-level providers working across 4 clinics.
UDP is in the process of expanding its dermatology practice holdings within its existing footprint and into other markets. Jay Gunter and Beth Workman have joined the company as CEO and CFO, respectively. Both are former executives of DSI Renal, a Frazier portfolio company that merged with U.S. Renal Care. Frazier Senior Advisor Bob Lefton will join the Company as Executive Chairman. Mr. Lefton was Co-founder, Executive Chairman, and a Director of DSI Renal.
The acquisition of UDP is demonstrative of the Frazier team’s ability to identify and invest in a high growth provider platform alongside proven operators. Frazier Partners Nathan Every and Ben Magnano will join Bob Lefton, Jay Gunter and Brett Blackhart on the Board of Directors.
